About me

My experience is in both IT and EPOS holding Jobs since I was 16 in the I.T. Field has given me a very broad skill set I have supported software products both bespoke and commercial and trained people on the software and provided break-fix. I have also sold and supported Servers and sold Many different POS hardware and server hardware from various companies I was used as an epos consultant for Geller Business machines who sold to a dealer network I was used to help dealers sell PC-Based EPOS Systems when I was still new in the EPOS Sector. I will try to keep my experience simple as possible so you can understand what I have done over the last 22 Years

• Several CCTV Systems including IP Based and analogue Cameras and several DVRs(Digital Video Recorders)
• CCTV POS system integration with CCTV on several software/hardware configurations
• RS232 > RJ45 Bespoke Adapter configuration used to allow communication of Printers and scanners running over a network cable. I designed the adapter pin outs/configuration used in the cabling to RS232 devices for example a printer with 25pin to a adapter that has 9 pins I would configure the adapters and for cctv cable to link from the CCTV DVR to the epos unit
• Access Control(Door Entry) by Finger print, RFID, MSR Card and proximity ISO Cards
• Digital Signage including digital Advertising installation and support, I also did advertising around live TV so adverts are displayed whilst the football is playing.
• Mag Card encoding and printing using several Card Printers(for example providing Loyalty cards and Door entry Cards I have also sold the printers and provided support to end users)
• Loyalty Systems cloud based and central software managed
• Time and Attendance on several software products
• 7+ EPOS System software applications by various suppliers providing training, support and breakfix
• Many Cash Registers including Vectron, SAM4S, Quarion, TEC, Sharp, Casio, Samsung, ICR Touch Point, EC Touch, CES Software Touch, Softech Gladius, SamTouch, Fidelity GPOS, Datasym v6 and SQL
• Cloud Systems for various platforms from EPOS, CMS and E-Commerce
• Hotel Booking System – Guest Master, Guestline
• Windows Server 2000/2008/2012 Installs including SBS (Small Business Server for example email and intranet setup)
• Microsoft Office Training including Database training
• Lesson Planning for Primary school teaching
• ICT Teaching Support providing support of lesson plans tssisting teachers with ICT lessons
• This has enabled me to put technical terms into simple terms I had 10 year olds designing databases and websites
• Credit Card integration with POS systems and standalone PEDs including PCI-DSS compliance advice
• Wireless Customer access with customer data capture facilities to enable marketing to WiFi  users and to comply with the law, Facebook post on connection to WiFi
• Network system installation and support, including Routers, switches managed and unmanaged, WiFi Access Points.
VLAN, port forwarding, DHCP Config, traffic management, static route configuration experience, content filtering Hardware experience Cisco Routers, ubiquiti AP, Draytek etc
• VPNs – SSL Tunnels, Router to Router and Client/Server Allowing customers to access their databases from remote locations used in POS and a scaffolding company

• Crimp RJ45 Plugs, terminate RJ45 Sockets – This is the cables used for networks
• Build PCs, configure hardware on Servers and various hardware breakfix and custom build.

• Virus Defence and removal after the effect
• Virtual Operating systems this would enable Windows to run on an Apple or linux on a windows machine or several Windows 7 Hosted instances running on 1 server.
For example Server hosting 5 Windows 7 Clients for wireless order taking in a restaurant, 5 Andriod tablets with full windows 7 pro running a windows based Order software

This is to name a few of my experiences over the years, I can self-teach pretty much any software product and provide training on that product putting challenging tasks into simple to understand terms I wrote user manuals for software products and have provided guides on how to do tasks in a range of software products. I have a board range of IT skills. I have used computers since the age of 5 growing up with Spectrum, Amiga, Commodore, Amstrad so by the time I reached college for my GNVQ in Advanced IT I set the benchmark for VBA designing an Excel order form using vlookup tables which they used as an example for many years after I left college. I was picked out of the class of students to work for an engineering company for my first job Multi-Tech Contracts Ltd and left to provide teacher training, lesson planning and support at primary schools for Levitas Training. After this I moved into PC Based EPOS were I remain today. Since leaving school I have worked my whole life.

My IT experience coupled with 10 years of running my own company I thought I would be a good addition to any business. RED EPOS has massive room to grow into a bigger company and I can provide the backbone to expand it.
